SCHOOL LIBRARY  PER CAPITA GRANT
 

  The Board approved submission of the School Library Per Capita Grant.  Bill Echelbarger, district librarian, presented information on the annual grant.  It is available to tax supported public school districts that are members of a regional library system.  To be eligible, the district must have at least one librarian on staff and library resources which meet the basic information and library needs of the students.  Grants are based upon a formula of approximately 70 cents per student.   The funds may be used to purchase library books and materials, purchase and maintain library equipment, professional development of the library staff, and for library computers and telecommunications costs.
